When I was a kid my Grandma and Aunts would have a pierogi work days. My Grandma would painstaking roll out each individual round of dough and then pass them on to my Aunts to fill and pinch closed. The best part of the day was of course the fresh pierogi dinner when they had run out of dough and filling. <br /><br />The stew sounds yummy, but I don't know if I could mess with tradition like that. We eat them right out of the boiling water.
